The objective of the program is to provide Residential customers a unique program to purchase either residential electricity or residential natural gas supply services. Residential customers who have selected licensed suppliers have reduced their cost by 6 to 10 percent on an annual basis.

Purchasing cooperatives stimulate competition for electricity or natural gas supply services in the residential marketplace.  Purchasing Cooperatives leverage the increased purchasing power of the group over that of the individual by obtaining competitive pricing, eliminate the need for the individual to go through the process alone, share in the costs, technical support, and expertise. Employees of Chamber member organizations can join the residential Energy Purchasing Cooperative to reduce the cost of the electricity or natural gas provided to their homes.
